I had forgotten that, every February, my friend Xanthe Berkeley and her friend Andrea celebrate colour by playing #colorcolourlovers on Instagram and on their blogs. It’s a fun way to brighten up what could otherwise be a very dull month.
This year, the “rules” are slightly different from previously:
Monday – purple
Tuesday – yellow
Wednesday – blue
Thursday – red
Friday – green
Sat – pink
Sun – orange
So here are my contributions to brighten up the last week of February – better late than never…!
Wednesday 22nd – Blue
I’ve been playing with paint again this week, after a bit of a break. I got myself a desk-top easel at the weekend, so it makes filming a lot easier, as well as painting.
Thursday 23rd – Red
More intuitive painting, brightening up a rather dull canvas – this time I managed to get my head in the way of the camera. Note to self…
Friday 24th – green
A bit of green (and some interesting shadows) – taken at a motorway service area!
Sat 25th – pink
Pink camellias in Barnes – from the archive.
Sun 26th – orange
Brick Lane graffiti in orange, from the archive.
Monday 27th – purple
Crocuses are out, so Spring is near!
Tuesday 28th – yellow
Pastel shades in Notting Hill from the archive – including yellow for the final Tuesday.
