The Queen's Barge, Gloriana, in Kingston-upon-Thames

The Queen’s Rowbarge Gloriana made a guest appearance at Kingston Regatta at the weekend. I briefly caught sight of this spectacular boat in Kingston-upon-Thames in April, steaming towards Hampton Court for the Tudor Pull event.

Previously, I had photographed Gloriana outside Richmond-upon-Thames, carrying the Olympic Torch to London in 2012.

Built to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2012, the royal barge is involved in a number of events throughout the year. In between events, Gloriana is on display at St Katherine Docks, in central London.
