To start the new year, I’ve signed up for Susannah Conway’s new photo challenge: “Gentle January” – I didn’t post anything at all for December Reflections, so here’s hoping I do better with this.
On New Year’s Day we went for a walk in Richmond-upon-Thames, but were cut off by high tide at The White Cross pub. Fortunately they keep a large stash of wellies to rescue damsels in distress…👢👢
I later discovered on Instagram that, just as I was making my way to the water’s edge to take the photo, one of the pub’s staff took a photo in the opposite direction – I’m the one in the bright pink jacket, on the right!
I’m working on two creative projects this year, one of which is writing about pivotal moments and funny anecdotes from five decades of independent travel. Now I’ve said it out loud (not only here, but on Instagram and Facebook too), I’m committed to doing it!
I’m also thinking of doing another Project 52, where I post a photograph each week of the year. The last time I did this was in 2015 – and I started late then too!
