Last week, I spent 3 days in Tunbridge Wells on a Train The Trainer course, run by one of my clients, which will enable me to facilitate breakout sessions during his training events. Part of the training was about presenting a fearful scenario from our past, to illustrate the process we’ll be facilitating people through.
I chose an example, from my twenties, of having set myself the challenge to jump out of an airplane (with a parachute, I hasten to add!). It was fascinating – and challenging – to re-visit past triumphs and learn more about my fears.
One thing I noticed was that I keep setting myself “challenges”. And I wondered: why does it always have to be so confrontational? Why not simply decide that I want to experiment with something – be curious about it – rather than turning it into a competition?
So my theme for this year will be CURIOSITY, and my blog is going to reflect my experiments in creativity and my curiosity about Life in general. I’m sure that will make it a whole lot more fun – both for me to experience, and for you to read.
What would you like to be more curious about this year?
