Today is… preparing myself for the next round of cancer treatment.
Over the past 4 months I’ve spent a lot of time in hospitals for operations or treatment, often at short notice, which has made it difficult to plan other activities. From Monday the treatment schedule should be every 3 weeks – potentially for the rest of my life (or for as long as the treatment is effective, anyway).
I’m hoping that the regular schedule will make it easier for me to organise my time.
One of the benefits of spending so much time hanging round in hospitals is that I’m finally getting the opportunity to read some of the novels I’ve accumulated over the past several years. The novel in the picture is one that I bought when I spent 2 months working in Auckland, New Zealand, in 1996!
