August Break - Today is - hospital appointment cards and novel

Today is… preparing myself for the next round of cancer treatment.

Over the past 4 months I’ve spent a lot of time in hospitals for operations or treatment, often at short notice, which has made it difficult to plan other activities. From Monday the treatment schedule should be every 3 weeks – potentially for the rest of my life (or for as long as the treatment is effective, anyway).

I’m hoping that the regular schedule will make it easier for me to organise my time.

One of the benefits of spending so much time hanging round in hospitals is that I’m finally getting the opportunity to read some of the novels I’ve accumulated over the past several years. The novel in the picture is one that I bought when I spent 2 months working in Auckland, New Zealand, in 1996!

  1. Wishing you everything you need to get vibrantly healthy, to stay strong for the treatment and come out the other side, even stronger. I’ve just popped over from Karen’s and am having a wee wander round your site as a coffee break treat!

Thank you Janice. I’m so glad you popped over! I’ve also popped over to your site – I see we have a mutual love of the songwriting talent of Beth Nielsen Chapman! I notice that I haven’t posted any of her songs here, though, which is an oversight I shall rectify asap. 🙂
