I’m not generally an early riser, and I detest rush hour – so when a friend suggested meeting up for breakfast at a secret location in central London, in November 2013, I wasn’t looking forward to jostling with commuters on a crowded train.
From her flat in Soho, the three of us walked to Centrepoint on Tottenham Court Road, where I had been several times before, for business meetings – but I didn’t realise there was a restaurant and viewing area on the top two floors.
Even through the rain, it’s a magnificent view!
