August Break - Day 16 - Look down

Wandering round Covent Garden one day, I heard an angelic operatic voice – I thought at first it was coming from one of the shops, but then I looked down and spotted this woman in the basement, singing her heart out.

  1. Hi Julia,
Just popped over to see what you’ve been up to and found a proliferation of posts! I feel like Rip Van Winkle! I’m about to log off now, but I look forward to meandering through them later. I’m not sure if I read your health posts out of synch, but if you’re doing all this while going through treatment, you’re a total inspiration!

I love how you get surprises when you look down in London. Up here in Scotland, I often bang into lamposts because I enjoy looking up at glorious bits of ‘frilly’ architecture.

Thanks Janice! I have to admit I’m cheating a little – selecting photos from my archives, rather than going out taking lots of new photos – but I’m having lots of fun editing what I’ve got. I enjoy looking up at the “frilly” architecture here in London, too – in fact, I was going to start a blog a couple of years ago, called “Look Up In London”, until I discovered someone else had just registered the domain name!
