Only one social event this week – meeting Tanja Gardner at the National Gallery, while she was over from New Zealand. I discovered Tanja’s Conscious Introvert Success website when I launched The Quiet Entrepreneur, and we’ve ardently supported each other ever since. We had a fun time discussing our rather off-the-wall opinions of the various works of art…!

Later in the week I realised it’s been a very long time since I had a stroll by the river in Kingston-upon-Thames – so on the Bank Holiday weekend, I decided it was time for a re-visit. The banks of the river were bursting with flowers, which isn’t surprising – 2015 has been a bumper year for flowers in general.

For a change, I was photographing and filming with my Canon EOS 700D digital SLR camera so that I could get some things in focus and others out of focus (depth of field). It was fun focusing on the flowers, while the blurry sailboats glide past in the background.
