Narrow boats queueing to enter Teddington Lock on the River Thames

We have been blessed with several balmy days during this first week of October, so Paul and I have been continuing our walks in the sunshine – starting with Teddington Lock. There weren’t any narrow boats at the weekend – this is a picture I took 8 years ago, on a summer’s day. I’m proud to say it was published in the local newspaper – I found the cutting when I was decluttering last week!

Westerley view from King Henry’s Mound, Richmond Park

Yesterday we visited Richmond Park, which is very close to where we live. From King Henry’s Mound you get this wonderfully green westerly view. In the distance is Windsor Castle – but you can really only see it through the generously donated telescope. Unfortunately I felt wobbly again, possibly because I’m tired after all that decluttering. It’s rather disappointing after a few really good days.
