I made this mandala a couple of weeks ago, but I forgot to post it here. I had noticed that some of the leaves on one of my Hibiscus plants had turned yellow and dropped to the ground – and I thought they would make a beautiful pattern on our bright blue garden table.
I love the colours of Autumn: the bright blue skies, which we sometimes get, and the golden or bronzed leaves create a lovely contrast. The photograph above, which I took at Winkworth Arboretum several years ago, is a perfect example. This time I haven’t placed the leaves on a table, as I did with the mandala – this time the blue background is the sky!
